ART. LIFE. LOVE.
I’ve known I wanted to be a professional Actor since I was in the 5th grade. It was then that I was cast as the King in my magnet school’s production of ‘Twelve Dancing Princesses’. At a time when my fellow elementary classmates and I were being applauded for having the courage to get up on stage in some really cute yet equally embarrassing costumes, the experience meant much more to me. The reasoning was that on stage is where I had the courage to give myself the permission to do something I felt I couldn't do anywhere else—be myself.
When I have the privilege to Act, I am using the gifts that I was given to rebel against the external and internal obstacles that wish to keep me from being who I am destined to be. Additionally, on stage or in film, I can express the full range of the human experience and in turn encourage the viewer to explore their own identity by examining the fears, failures, and triumphs that have made them unique. It is within this self-examination, that I hope to give a voice to the voice less and to illuminate those who think they go through life unseen.
I, and others like me, have been given this gift as a terrific form of activism. I view Acting as a great sacrifice and as one of the deepest artistic expressions of love.
It is within this realm that I am home.
And it is from my home, that I welcome you to continually visit this website.
